Est. 08/27/07      This website is designed to record the progress and educate others on how to convert a street Volkswagen bug into an off-road bug. Hopefully someone will benefit from the good ideas and mistakes that I will have during this project.      This 1964 baja bug has already begun by putting on the fiberglass kit, but there are adjustments still needed, and many more projects to go. So far the holes in the fiberglass do not match up with the body. The rear fenders and apron are too high and need new holes drilled out for mounting. The rest of the kit is also in bad shape with large cracks and chips.
